Families from across Borehamwood and surrounding areas came together at Maxwell Park on Saturday for the Gratitude Easter Event 2026. The park and community centre came alive with colour, laughter, and a powerful sense of togetherness. This event did more than celebrate Easter — it showcased what happens when a community unites with purpose, generosity, and joy.
Easter Treasure Hunt Brings the Park to Life
Children raced across Maxwell Park with excitement and determination, searching for hidden Easter treasures tucked between trees and pathways. Laughter filled the air as families joined in, creating moments of connection and shared joy. The Easter treasure hunt didn’t just entertain — it brought people together, side by side, in a celebration of community spirit.

Creativity and Connection Indoors
Inside the Maxwell Park Community Centre, children immersed themselves in creative activities including henna, colouring, and bracelet-making. Parents and carers connected over refreshments, building relationships and strengthening the sense of belonging that defines Gratitude events. Every corner of the space reflected warmth, inclusion, and care.

Every Child Leaves with a Smile
Gratitude ensured that every child felt seen and valued. Each child received a toy, chocolate Easter eggs, and a memorable experience to take home. With around 400 children attending, the hall and were filled with excitement, joy and community spirit.

Magical Moments and Special Guests
Spider-Man, the Easter Bunny, and the Deputy Mayor brought an extra layer of excitement to the day. They greeted families, posed for photos, and helped create magical moments that children will remember long after the event ended.
Ponies Create Unforgettable Joy
For many children, the highlight of the day came from meeting the ponies. These gentle animals created calm, wonder, and pure happiness. Gratitude extends a heartfelt thank you to Pony Wisdom for delivering such a meaningful and unforgettable experience. They truly brought a magical touch to the festivities.

A Community United in Joy
This event showed the true power of community. Gratitude volunteers gave their time, community partners offered their
support, and families showed up with openness and joy. Gratitude continues to build more than events — it builds connection, belonging, and hope.
When people come together with a shared intention to give, something extraordinary happens. Kindness grows. Energy builds. Community thrives. And at Gratitude, that spirit continues to shine.
