Gratitude at Borehamwood Families Day 2025

🧸📚🧃 Meadow Park, Borehamwood | 5 July 2025

This year’s Families Day at Meadow Park was a joyful celebration of community spirit—and Gratitude.charity was proud to be part of it with a vibrant and welcoming stall.

From the moment our team arrived, there was a sense of warmth and connection in the air. Families stopped by throughout the day to choose from a wide selection of toys, board games, books, plush animals, snacks and drinks—all available for donations that will help support our wider charitable work. The joy on children’s faces, and the heartfelt appreciation from parents, reminded us once again of the real power behind even the smallest acts of kindness.

🙏 A huge thank you to all the families who donated so generously. Your support helps us continue organising events like this—and even more in the future. Every contribution makes a difference, allowing us to spread joy, build community, and reach more people in need.

🎨 In addition to the giveaway, we set up a creative corner for kids, which proved to be one of the day’s highlights. Children got the chance to craft thank-you cards for their teachers, mums, nanas, fold colourful paper planes, and make all sorts of fun, heartfelt creations. The table was constantly buzzing with activity and laughter, especially the sticker activities, offering young minds a chance to express themselves and feel part of something meaningful.

It was also an honour to receive a visit from the Mayor of Borehamwood, Cllr Dan Ozarow, and Deputy Mayor, Cllr Tushar Kumar. Their presence was a wonderful recognition of the work being done—not just by Gratitude, but by all who contribute to building a kinder, more connected community.

💛 A huge and heartfelt thank you goes out to our dedicated volunteers, whose hard work behind the scenes made the day possible. From collecting and sorting donations, packing up supplies, setting up the stall, running the activities, and warmly engaging with every visitor—your time and love didn’t go unnoticed. You are the heart of Gratitude.

We’re always inspired by how much goodness exists when people come together with the simple intention to give. As always, we invite everyone to stay connected through our website www.gratitude.charity and Facebook page for updates on future events and community actions.

Together, we serve with love. 🧡
